Last Saturday, David and I picked up our wedding dress and tux in Provo, then went immediately to Saltair with my mom and Stephen Phung, an amazing photographer friend of Greg Fox, and sandied up our new dandies taking bridal/groomal pictures. Here's some of our favorites. Tell us which are your favorites because we can only pick five for Stephen to ultra-super-detail-touch-up. Also, if you're interested (I'm speaking to you, my lovely sister-in-laws-to-be), all of the photos can be found here here here. David and I certainly can't decide the top five on our own.
I like this Heathcliff of the Moors shot. Very rugged/surly/handsome.

Here's that accordion I got David for his birthday this year.

David thinks I'm pulling a weird face in this one, but I like it.

These next ones are ridiculous.....David should have been the one to hold the guitar. I know all of four chords, but I still look like a dummy for those in the know.

These are our post-apocalyptic wedding photos.

A HUGE thanks to my Auntie Paula for making a veil for me, especially on such short notice.

There's a whole slew of these umbrella pictures...we have no idea which one to pick.

I can't lie--I'm a huge fan of the Tiger Lily kiss pictures, even though David insists that any and all kissy pictures must remain strictly in our own private collection (and this blog, because I can do whatever I want).

And these are our Indie band CD cover pictures.

Stephen Phung was incredible to work with--David and I aren't always the most photogenic people and it only took him two hours to come up with almost two hundred pretty decent photos of us. I highly recommend his work, and he was surprisingly affordable. Many, many thanks go to him and also my friend Stephie for doing my hair and makeup during her lunch break. Also, a huge thanks to my mom for her help, and for holding her breath (and her tongue) as she watched me run all over sand and rusted metal in the most expensive dress I'll ever wear (collecting gnats in my lace as I went). If you want to see more Stephen Phung work and check out his pricing (he does family, kid, personal, and engagement photos, too), his website is www.phungphotography.com.
P.S. Sorry that this posting was ridiculously long and self-advertising, but we need help picking our Top Five!! Please leave your input!

Your photos are seriously amazing. I love the desert feel and the unique spin on everything! So awesome! I love them all!
Delightful. I thought the accordion pictures couldn't be outdone, but I must say the dancing parasol pics are just as whimsical/magical/ever-so-slightly-reminiscent-of-a-Salvador-Dali painting.
I am truly joyful at your joy. The fourtheenth ith jutht one week away!
I can't choose...they are all AMAZING! (side note: you are one of the most photogenic people I've ever met). I love the style. p.s. I saw this music video yesterday and for some reason i kept thinking that you would like it. sorry if you don't: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90DflEOXi9E

phot 5, 7 and 34 are the absolute best shots of david. real. no face pulling or fakeness whatsoever (not that he did that in the others, but these were so real and raw)
#10 of both of you I loved.
#16 best accordian shot. daves face is most genuine and cute of these...you look amazing in them all so..
#20 also good on that.

#47 Emily, you look gorgeous and he looks totally smitten by you. I LOVE this one a lot.
#51, a great shot, I love the sun.
#99, I know its a kiss, but it is RAD! and I'm his sis, so if it doesn't gross me out I think you can go public with it. This one is far and away the best shot involving the umbrella.
#114, TOOK MY BREATH AWAY. so real.
Em, your profile is the best I've ever seen and this shot features it. Dave's hook nose we all love is in full effect! This may be my most favorite shot.
#126 super cute. love the slanted background.
#137 far and away the best one of Em alone. silhouette of your dress and figure look pitch perfect, and your face is beautiful! love the background.(I'm starting to feel like Paula Abdul, minus the Botox!)
#45 might be MY FAVORITE too Mountains. sunlight, tall grass. dave looking at em, not camera. all looks gorgeous
Okay, no bitchin about the length of this post visitors! That was the best damn feedback in the biz!
Um, that last one should be #145. ahem...sorry bout that!
I love love love these!! I like the picture with the accordion and guitar in front and you guys kissing in the back. Normally I wouldn't be a fan of one like that but I like it lots and lots! As for the umbrella pictures, I like the one taken vertically. As for the rest- I freakin' love them all! Good luck picking five. Those are the best bridal/groomal pics I've ever seen!
Those are so YOU Em! I'm super upset that I missed the shower of the century - I'm glad you had fun. I was in Vegas counting the mullets for you! Can't wait to see you Friday!
OMG this Stephen guy is amazing! I love all these pictures!!!!!! I like them all too. And I got your announcement. Yay!
The umbrella one where you guys are in the bottom right corner looks like a Jack Vettriano painting. Love it.
The colors and the mood of it feel like the movie Fandango.
Amazing. You've inspired Valerie and I to get some pictures done for our 5th anniversary.
The dress is beautiful. And good luck on the fourtheenth. It's like you're getting married on an imaginary day. Maybe in Brigadoon.
I just stumbled upon your blog in the most delicious, er, random way. I enjoy your writings (as well as your pictures) more so than most blogs I've seen, so I may be back. Congrats on the engagement, by the way. Good stuff.
HOLY CRAP. You're a babe. :) I love those!!! They are so you! They look almost fake. But also so real at the same time. SO BOSS. You win.
Jeff is so jealous of that accordion. That is the coolest one I've seen in awhile. My favorite photo is the first one with you holding the umbrella and with him holding the accordion. Overall, they were all pretty amazing, but that one was my favorite.
Holy cow! You look so beautiful! I LOVE your dress! I am so excited to see you!
Helloooooo! Disclaimer: I also looked at the pictures, but I haven't commented b/c I've been on radio silence. I hope you aren't offended; I just haven't looked at the computer in a weekish.
This are gorgeous pictures. G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. I don't care which ones you pick since they are all lovely. You both photograph very well. Okay I take that back (the not caring part, not the photogenic part). I like the ones that show y'all more in the foreground. The far-aways are beautiful, but I like to see you peeps.
Your dress and veil are stunning.
I CANNOT wait to see you and experience your wedding. I love you!
some of these look almost Magritte in their awesomeness..
good good good wirk.
